WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Gaelic Athletic Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; and

WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Gaelic Athletic Association is based in the City of Pittsburgh; and
WHEREAS, its mission is to promote Gaelic culture and Gaelic sports throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area; and
WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Gaelic Athletic Association, as an Applicant acting through the instructions of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended, desires to host small games of chance and/or conduct related fundraisers that include, but are not limited to: Nights at the Races, raffles and drawings, auctions, benefit dinners, benefit dances, benefit concerts, bingo, and table games, to be scheduled, organized, and managed throughout the year as its operations merit.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the Pittsburgh Gaelic Athletic Association, as a civic and service organization within the appropriate context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended.
