Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Department of Public Safety to execute relevant agreements to receive grant funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s Community Violence Intervention to fund patrol officer participation and related activities in the City of Pittsburgh’s Youth Connections program in an amount not to exceed ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTEEN DOLLARS AND EIGHTY CENTS ($125,316.80).

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety are authorized to enter on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh into relevant Agreements with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency in order to receive a grant award in the amount of ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTEEN DOLLARS AND EIGHTY CENTS ($125,316.80) for purposes including the funding of patrol officer participation in Youth Connections programming, developing Youth Advisory Council members and providing Implicit Bias training to teachers and staff of partner schools through the City of Pittsburgh’s Youth Connections program.  Monies from said grant Agreement(s) shall be deposited into the following Grants Trust Fund account:

Section 2.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety are further authorized to enter on behalf of the City into Agreements, or utilize existing Agreements, in an aggregate amount not to exceed ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND AND THREE HUNDRED SIXTEEN DOLLARS AND EIGHTY CENTS ($125,316.80) for purposes including the funding of patrol officer participation in Youth Connections programming, developing Youth Advisory Council members and providing Implicit Bias training to teachers and staff of partner schools through the City of Pittsburgh ’s Youth Connections program under the terms of the aforementioned Agreement(s) between the City and the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, chargeable to and payable from the following Grants Trust Fund account:  2329400346.50000.00

 

Said Agreement(s) shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor.
