WHEREAS, Dante Green, of Scout Troop 109, earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in scouting based on responsibility, leadership, service and outdoor skills; and,

WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout service project, Dante expanded the current garden at the Second United Presbyterian Church in Wilkinsburg and added additional herbs and vegetables to the garden in hopes of using the produce for the monthly food pantry held at the church; and,
WHEREAS, Dante also created a wooden perimeter to make a playground area for the church and mulched the area. Because of his work, the church was able to add new playground equipment for the church preschool, as well as for public use; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate Eagle Scout Dante Green for his outstanding achievement of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Sunday, March 14, 2021 to be “Eagle Scout Dante Greene Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
