Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1 of Resolution No. 849 effective December 28th, 2017 which presently reads as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, and/or the Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to invite proposals and to authorize and award a Contract or Contracts for professional services including planning, architectural, engineering, and real estate services as well as construction and maintenance of the City’s infrastructure, building and land, or any other improvements to properties in the custody of the various Departments owned and controlled by the City of Pittsburgh, and for related estimated capital cost to be in excess of $10,000 and to purchase, without advertisement, such services as listed above whose estimated costs to be less than $100,000 as required by various Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, all in accordance with the laws and ordinances go said City. The City of Pittsburgh shall have the right to terminate contracts in the event funds are not appropriated for the continuation of applicable contracts in any succeeding calendar year.

The Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, and/or the Director of the

Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to execute Letters of Authorization (LOA’s) to allow for continuation of services for ongoing projects previously assigned under the existing on-call Contracts previously competitively bid for professional services including planning, architectural, engineering, and real estate services as well as construction and maintenance of the City’s infrastructure, building and land, or any other improvements to properties in the custody of the various Departments owned and controlled by the City of Pittsburgh, and also to allow for the extension of said contracts in order to complete ongoing work. The City of Pittsburgh shall have the right to terminate contracts in the event funds are not appropriated for the continuation of applicable contracts in any succeeding calendar year. This authorization extends through December 31st, 2021.
