Caliguiri City of Pittsburgh Great Race (“Great Race”) for a term of three years, at a total cost in management fees not to exceed annually the greater of Sixty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($60,000.00) or 40% of net revenues generated by the Great Race; and further authorizing for appropriation, pursuant to the aforementioned agreement or agreements, certain sponsorship revenues for payment of management fees and operational expenses of the Great Race.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Department of Public Safety, Office of Special Events, are authorized to enter on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh into an agreement or agreements with Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon, Inc. (“P3R”), in a form approved by the City Solicitor, for providing professional services with regard to the management of the Richard S. Caliguiri City of Pittsburgh Great Race.  Said agreement or agreements shall be for a term of three years (2020-2022) at a total cost to the City not to exceed the following amounts:

 

2020

 

The greater of Sixty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($60,000.00) or 40% of net revenues generated by the 2020 Great Race, with deposits made into the Special Events Trust Fund 5000731400.43166.00, and payments chargeable to and payable from the Special Events Trust Fund 5000731400.53901.00. After taking its share of revenues, P3R shall deposit any remaining funds into JDE Account Code 5000731400.43166.00.

 

2021

 

The greater of Sixty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($60,000.00) or 40% of net revenues generated by the 2021 Great Race, with deposits made into the Special Events Trust Fund 5000731400.43166.00, and payments chargeable to and payable from the Special Events Trust Fund 5000731400.53901.00. After taking its share of revenues, P3R shall deposit any remaining funds into JDE Account Code 5000731400.43166.00.

 

2022

 

The greater of Sixty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($60,000.00) or 40% of net revenues generated by the 2022 Great Race, with deposits made into the Special Events Trust Fund 5000731400.43166.00, and payments chargeable to and payable from the Special Events Trust Fund 5000731400.53901.00. After taking its share of revenues, P3R shall deposit any remaining funds into JDE Account Code 5000731400.43166.00.

 

 

Section 2.                     Pursuant to the agreement or agreements referenced in Section 1 of this Resolution, an amount, constituting sponsorship revenue for the 2020 Great Race, not to exceed one hundred and thirty-five thousand dollars ($135,000) is authorized for appropriation and transfer to P3R from the Special Events Trust Fund 5000731400.53901.00. Appropriations for subsequent years are subject to the future authorization of the Council of the City of Pittsburgh.
