Resolution authorizing the execution of quitclaim deeds conveying all of the City's right, title and interest in and to the City-owned property located in the 1st Ward of the City at 661 1st Avenue and 700 2ndAvenue designated in the Deed Registry Office of Allegheny County as Block 2-P Lot 110 and Block 2-P Lot 120 respectively, to the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (“URA”) desires to acquire all of the City's right, title and interest, if any, in and to City-owned property located at located at 661 1st Avenue and 700 Second Avenue designated in the Deed Registry Office of Allegheny County as Block 2-P Lot 110 and Block 2-P Lot 120; and

 

WHEREAS, the URA thereafter intends to further convey this property in furtherance of the Project Cares development project to be located on the formal current site of the City’s motor pool properties.

 

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh desires to approve the conveyance to Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh;

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to execute a quitclaim deed and any other necessary or appropriate documents and instruments conveying all of the City's right, title and interest in and to the properties in the 1st Ward of the City located at 661 1st Avenue and 700 2nd Avenue designated in the Deed Registry Office of Allegheny County as Block 2-P Lot 110 and Block 2-P Lot 120 respectively, to the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh for $1 each.  The Urban Redevelopment Authority shall cover all costs of the conveyances.
