WHEREAS, Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (“URA”), owner of certain property in the Liberty Green Park project in the 11th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, wishes to dedicate certain properties to the City of Pittsburgh, and the City of Pittsburgh wishes to authorize acceptance of the dedication in accordance with the East Liberty/Larimer Park Cooperation and License Agreement entered into by the URA and City of Pittsburgh on January 9, 2018;

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The dedication of the following parcel is hereby accepted:

 

                     Parcel 3-D1 (Map Block & Lot: 83‐S‐196)

 

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the 11th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, being more particularly described as follows:

 

Beginning at a drill hole found in concrete on the northerly right‐of‐way line of Larimer Avenue, on the west side of Kalida Drive;

 

Thence running along and contiguous with the said northerly right‐of‐way line of Larimer Avenue the following two (2) courses and distances:

 

1.                     South 51°27’31” West a distance of 61.12 feet to a 3/4” iron pin found;

 

2.                     South 50°42’15” West a distance of 66.70 feet to a hub & tack found near a 5” x 5” square steel bollard;

 

Thence, leaving the said northerly right‐of‐way line of Larimer Avenue, along and contiguous with a northwesterly line of a tract owned by the City of Pittsburgh and along the existing Larimer Avenue South 50°42’15” West a distance of 275.26 feet to a 3/4” iron pin found, being a point on the radius of a cul‐de‐sac, the right‐of‐way line of Larimer Avenue;

 

Thence, leaving the said City of Pittsburgh tract, along and contiguous with the said cul‐de‐sac right‐of‐way line of Larimer Avenue, along the arc of a curve to the left having a chord bearing North 84°00’15” West for a chord distance of 13.65 feet to a drill hole found in concrete. Said curve having a radius of 40.00 feet and an arc length of 13.72 feet. Said point also being an intersection of the cul‐de‐sac right‐of‐way line of Larimer Avenue and the easterly right‐of‐way line of Station Street;

 

Thence, leaving the cul‐de‐sac right‐of‐way line of Larimer Avenue, along and contiguous with the said easterly right‐of‐way line of Station Street North 39°10’06” West a distance of 148.09 feet to a point;

 

Thence along the arc of a curve to the right having a chord bearing North 6°14’02” West for a chord distance of 10.87 feet to a point on the easterly right‐of‐way line of Princeton Place. Said curve having a radius of 10.00 feet and an arc length of 11.50 feet. Said curve being a connecting arc between the easterly right‐of‐way lines of Station Street and Princeton Place;

 

Thence along and contiguous with said easterly right‐of‐way line of Princeton Place the following two (2) courses and distances:

 

1.                     North 26°42’01” East a distance of 122.83 feet to a point;

 

2.                     North 26°42’01” East a distance of 264.14 feet to a point, a corner of a tract owned by the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh;

 

Thence along and contiguous with the southerly line of the said Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh tract the following two courses and distances:

 

1.                     South 56°46’59” East a distance of 78.37 feet to a point;

2.                     North 32°58’41” East a distance of 55.43 feet to a point on the westerly right‐of‐way     line of Kalida Drive. Said right‐of‐way being 65 feet in width;

 

Thence, leaving the said Housing Authority of City of Pittsburgh tract, along and contiguous with the said westerly right‐of‐way line of Kalida Drive South 36°20’20” East a distance of 258.10 feet to a point;

 

Thence along the arc of a curve to the right having a chord bearing South 7°33’33” West for a chord distance of 13.87 feet to the Point of Beginning. Said curve having a radius of 10.00 feet and an arc length of 15.32 feet. Said curve being a connecting arc between the westerly right‐of‐way line of Kalida Drive and the northerly right‐of‐way line of Larimer Avenue;

 

Containing 2.441 acres or 106,331 square feet, more or less.

 

Parcel 3-D1-A (Map Block & Lot: 83‐S‐146)

 

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the 11th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, being more particularly described as follows:

 

Beginning at a point on the easterly right‐of‐way line of Princeton Place, said right‐of‐way being 65 feet in width; said point also being a southwesterly corner of a tract owned by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh.

 

Thence, leaving the said right‐of‐way line of Princeton Place, running along and contiguous with the southerly line of the said Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh tract the following two (2) courses and distances:

 

1.                     South 62°06’59” East a distance of 21.85 feet to a point;

 

2.                     North 32°58’41” East a distance of 36.11 feet to a point on the arc of a curve, the convergence of the easterly right‐of‐way line of Princeton Place and the westerly right‐of‐way line of Kalida Drive; 

 

Thence, leaving the said Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh tract, running along and contiguous with the said convergence of the easterly right‐of‐way line of Princeton Place and the westerly right‐of‐way line of Kalida Drive along the arc of the curve to the right having a chord bearing South 60°11’03” East for a chord distance of 32.34 feet to a point. Said curve having a radius of 40.00 feet and an arc length of 33.29 feet;

 

Thence, continuing along and contiguous with the said westerly right‐of‐way line of Kalida Drive South 36°20’25” East a distance of 28.94 feet to a point, a corner of a tract owned by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh;

 

Thence along and contiguous with the lines of the said Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh tract the following two (2) courses and distances:

 

1.                     South 32°58’41” West a distance of 55.43 feet to a point;

 

2.                     North 56°46’59” West a distance of 78.37 feet to a point on the said easterly right‐of‐ way line of Princeton Place;

 

Thence, leaving the said Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh tract, running along the said easterly right‐of‐way line of Princeton Place the following two (2) courses and distances:

1.                     North 26°42’01” East a distance of 23.66 feet to a point;

 

2.                     Along the arc of a curve to the right having a chord bearing North 28°06’44” East for a chord distance of 1.97 feet to the Point of Beginning. Said curve having a radius of 40.00 feet and an arc length of 1.97 feet;

 

Containing 0.996 acres or 4,339 square feet, more or less.

 

Parcel 3-D1-B (Map Block & Lot: 83‐S‐190)

 

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the 11th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, being more particularly described as follows:

 

Beginning at a point on the easterly right‐of‐way line of Princeton Place, said right‐of‐way being 65 feet in width; said point also being a northwesterly corner of a tract owned by the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh.

 

Thence, leaving the said Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh tract, along and contiguous with the said easterly right‐of‐way line of Princeton Place, transitioning to the westerly right‐of‐way line of Kalida Drive along the arc of a curve to the right having a chord bearing North 62°44’53” East for a chord distance of 43.83 feet to a point, a corner of the said Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh tract;

 

Thence, leaving the said westerly line of Kalida Drive, along and contiguous with a westerly line of the said Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh tract South 32°58’41” West a distance of 36.11 feet to a point;

 

Thence along and contiguous with a line of the said Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh tract North 62°06’59” West a distance of 21.85 feet to the Point of Beginning;

All that certain parcel of land, being Parcel 3-D2 in the Larimer/East Liberty Phase 1 Plan of Lots as recorded in the Allegheny County Department of Real Estate in Plan Book Volume 282, Page 51, situate in the 11th Ward, City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, more particularly bound and described as follows:

 

Beginning at a point on the southwesterly right of way line of East Liberty Boulevard, 100.00 feet wide, at the line dividing Parcel 3-D2 and Parcel 3-D in the Larimer/East Liberty Phase 1 Plan of Lots as recorded in the Allegheny County Department of Real Estate in Plan Book Volume 282, Page 51; thence from said point of beginning by the line dividing Parcel 3-D2 and Parcel 3-D in said Larimer/East Liberty Phase 1 Plan of Lots the following three (3) courses and distances:

 

in a southwesterly direction by a curve bearing to the right having a radius of 80.00 feet through an arc distance of 48.13 feet, also having a chord bearing of S 65° 52’ 12.7” W and a chord distance of 47.40 feet, to a point of reverse curvature; in a southwesterly direction by a curve bearing to the left having a radius of 184.00 feet through an arc distance of 180.44 feet to a point of reverse curvature; in a southwesterly direction by a curve bearing to the right having a radius of 351.39 feet through an arc distance of 54.84 feet, also having a chord bearing of S 31° 48’ 46.5” W and a chord distance of 54.78 feet, to a point on the line dividing Parcel 3-D2 and Road B-Revised in said Larimer/East Liberty Phase 1 Plan of Lots;

 

thence by the line dividing Parcel 3-D2 and Road B-Revised in said Larimer/East Liberty Phase 1 Plan of Lots in a northwesterly direction by a curve bearing to he left having a radius of 200.00 feet through an arc distance of 36.26 feet to a point of tangency; thence continuing by same and by the northeasterly right of way line of Kalida Drive N 64° 44’ 38.4” W a distance of 29.20 feet to a point on the line dividing Parcel 3-D2 in said Larimer/East Liberty Phase 1 Plan of Lots and Parcel 3A in the Liberty Park Phase 2 Plan of Lots as recorded in the Allegheny County Department of Real Estate in Plan Book Volume 271, Page 54; thence by the line dividing Parcel 3-D2 in said Larimer/East Liberty Phase 1 Plan of Lots and Parcel 3A in said Larimer/East Liberty Phase 1 Plan of Lots the following four (4) courses and distances:

 

N 25° 15’ 21.6” E a distance of 62.49 feet; in a northerly direction by a curve bearing to the left having a radius of 147.50 feet through an arc distance of 161.19 feet, also having a chord bearing N 21° 16’ 48.3” E and a chord distance of 153.28 feet, to a point of tangency;

 

N 10° 02’ 47.4” W a distance of 90.41 feet;

 

N 25° 15’ 15.8” E a distance of 12.36 feet to a point on the southwesterly right of way line of said East Liberty Boulevard;

 

thence by the southwesterly right of way line of said East Liberty Boulevard in a southeasterly direction by a curve bearing to the right having a radius of 904.93 feet through an arc distance of 260.17 feet, also having a chord bearing of S 50° 27’ 29.4” E and a chord distance of 259.27 feet, to a point on line dividing Parcel 3-D2 and Parcel 3-D in said Larimer/East Liberty Phase 1 Plan of Lots, at the point of beginning.

 

Containing an area of 32,320 square feet or 0.742 acres.

 

Section 2.                     The grading, paving, curbing, traffic signals and lighting of the parcel described above are hereby accepted and declared to be public improvements of the City of Pittsburgh.
