Resolution providing for a Professional Services Agreement(s) and/or Contract(s) with The Pennsylvania Resources Council for Public Recycling Education, and provision of outreach for the payment thereof, at a cost not to exceed $37,000.

WHEREAS, The City of Pittsburgh desires to achieve more residential recycling education, produce less contamination, move away from a bag based collection program, provide residential recycling bins, and implement a broader education plan to modernize the City’s recycling program;
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Environmental Services issued a Sole Source Contract and Scope of Work for these services and;
WHEREAS, this contracted service will provide the City with residential recycling education, online webinars, outreach brochures, and allow the City to continue to grow its residential recycling program, which is in transition from becoming bag free;
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of Public Works, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Professional Services Agreement(s) and/or Contract(s) with The Pennsylvania Resources Council for the services of Public Recycling Education, and provision of outreach for the payment thereof, at a cost not to exceed $37,000 chargeable to and payable from the following grant accounts:
