• Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby comment the Third Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church for its 75th anniversary of the Annual Conference.

WHEREAS, the Third Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church will be hosting its 75^th annual conference at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in the Hill District from September 17^th - 19^th; and,

WHEREAS, due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the celebrations will be held virtually, with Pastor Reverend Dale B. Snyder leading the proceedings; and,

WHEREAS, participants in the conference will represent the states of Ohio, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania under this year’s motto, “Rise Together!”; and,

WHEREAS, the conference will begin with a pre-conference on Wednesday, September 16^th with participants from the Presiding Elders’ Council, the Board of Trustees, the Board of Examiners, and the Ministerial Efficiency Committee, followed by 3 days of activities from Thursday through Saturday that will include a Presiding Elder Summary, opening worship service, a business session, a trustee board report, a ministerial efficiency report, a finance report, memorial and retirement celebrations and a closing worship and commissioning service; and,
