Resolution lifting the demolition moratorium in the area comprised by the boundaries identified in the Mexican War Streets expansion National Register Nomination of 2008 imposed pursuant to Resolution 468 of 2013.

WHEREAS, Resolution 468 of 2013 imposed a moratorium on demolitions in the area comprised by the boundaries identified in the Mexican War Streets expansion National Register Nomination of 2008.

 

WHEREAS, the moratorium was imposed as the City contemplated expansion of the Mexican War Streets Historic District.

 

WHEREAS, the Mexican War Streets Historic District has been expanded to include the area comprised by the boundaries identified in the Mexican War Streets expansion National Register Nomination of 2008.

 

WHEREAS, with the area comprised by the boundaries identified in the Mexican War Streets expansion National Register Nomination of 2008 now subject to the historic preservation regulations in Title Eleven of the City Code the demolition moratorium is no longer needed.

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     Pursuant to the provisions of the City of Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances, the Council of the City hereby lifts the moratorium on demolitions in the area comprised by the boundaries identified in the Mexican War Streets expansion National Register Nomination of 2008 imposed pursuant to Resolution 468 of 2013.
