Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into an agreement or agreements with Mosites Construction Company (“Mosites”), the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (“PennDOT”), and/or the Federal Highway Administration (“FHWA”) for work, settlement and/or final completion and acceptance of the Greenfield Bridge replacement project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh is the local sponsor of the Greenfield Bridge replacement project (“Project”) that has been in development and construction over a number of years; and
WHEREAS, certain deficiencies were discovered in the bridge construction preventing final completion and closeout of the Project; and
WHEREAS, City of Pittsburgh now wishes to enter into an agreement or agreements with Mosites for final completion of the Project and settlement of all remaining items in dispute; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh now wishes to also enter into any agreements, as applicable, with PennDOT and/or the FHWA for advancement of the Project as well as any available reimbursement.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1: The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements with Mosites Construction Company for work associated with the final completion of the Greenfield Bridge Replacement Project in addition to settlement of all remaining items in dispute at an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand ($150,000.00) dollars to be appropriated from the following code accounts:

Section 2: The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and/or the Federal Highway Administration as needed for advancement of the Greenfield Bridge Replacement project and reimbursement of any expenses as available with such funds to be deposited into the following code accounts:
