Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into an agreement or agreements with the United States Army Corp of Engineers for purposes of cooperation toward certain remediation work to flood control devices along Saw Mill Run; including authorization to expend fund at an amount not to exceed three hundred and twenty thousand dollars ($320,000.00) toward said project.

WHEREAS, the United States Army Corp of Engineers, in cooperation with the City of Pittsburgh, previously constructed flood control devices along Saw Mill Run as part of a greater flood control project in the area; and
WHEREAS, certain natural disasters in addition to routine wear and tear have required further remediation work for the flood control devices and the greater flood control project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh wishes to enter into a cooperation agreement with the United States Army Corp of Engineers to provide for necessary remediation work to the flood control project along Saw Mill Run.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements with the United States Army Corp of Engineers for purposes of cooperation toward certain remediation work necessary to flood control devices along Saw Mill Run. The City’s contribution to the work shall be at an amount not to exceed three hundred and twenty thousand dollars ($320,000.00) appropriated from the following code accounts: 6000900119.54207.00 ($276,513.64); 4030090016.54207.00 ($43,486.36)
