Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Department of Public Safety to receive grant funding from the US Department of Health and Human Services to assist in the City’s Emergency Medical Services’ efforts to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus and further providing an agreement and expenditures not to exceed ONE HUNDRED THIRTY EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SIXTY TWO DOLLARS AND SIXTY SIX CENTS ($138,162.66) for this stated purpose.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute relevant agreement with the US Department of Health and Human Services in order to receive a grant award in the amount of ONE HUNDRED THIRTY EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SIXTY TWO DOLLARS AND SIXTY SIX CENTS ($138,162.66) for the purpose of assisting in the City’s Emergency Medical Services’ efforts in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the coronavirus. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 2229400315.45703.00.
Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized to expend funds related to City’s Emergency Medical Services’ efforts in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the coronavirus including personnel and overtime cost and utilizing existing agreements or contracts not to exceed ONE HUNDRED THIRTY EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SIXTY TWO DOLLARS AND SIXTY SIX CENTS ($138,162.66) dollars under the terms of the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the US Department of Health and Human Services chargeable to and payable from the Grants Trust Fund account 2229400315.50000.00.
