Title

Resolution authorizing the filing of an application for federal assistance with the U.S. Department of Transportation for up to $25,000,000 in FY 2020 Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) Discretionary Grants program funds for critical infrastructure stabilization at locations throughout Mt. Washington. The BUILD grant application includes a required local match of twenty percent, the source of which is to be identified in subsequent legislation.

 

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1. The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby authorized to execute and file an application for federal assistance, certifications, assurances and related necessary or appropriate documents required by the U.S. Department of Transportation (“DOT”) for a FY 2020 BUILD Grant request in an amount up to $25,000,000 for the development and construction of critical infrastructure stabilization projects at locations throughout Mt. Washington. The BUILD grant application includes a required local match of twenty percent, the source of which is to be identified in subsequent legislation.

 

Section 2. Upon approval by DOT of the application, the Mayor, on behalf of the City, is authorized to execute a grant agreement and any other necessary or appropriate documents required by DOT in connection with the FY 2020 BUILD Grant.
