Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) and/or the Department of Innovation and Performance (I&P) on behalf of the City, to enter into an agreement with Populus, in order to receive access to their visualization platform suite, which will further the City’s ability to deliver mobility services to residents.

WHEREAS, Populus intends to provide cities with data in either historic or real time formats, collaborate with key stakeholders and manage innovation; and

 

WHEREAS, Populus is willing to provide data to the City, Populus may require that the City consent to certain terms of use in order to access this digital platform; and

 

WHEREAS, certain transportation data would be contributed to the datasets assembled by Populus; and

 

WHEREAS, the City now wishes to enter into an agreement with Populus in order to allow the City to access Populus’s data visualization platform that may include certain terms of use.

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) and/or the Department of Innovation and Performance (I&P) on behalf of the City, are authorized to enter into an agreement with Populus, in order to receive access to the Populus data visualization platform that will further the City’s ability to deliver mobility services to residents.

 

Section 2.                     This resolution does not authorize entering into an agreement or agreements involving the appropriation or expenditure of City funds in order to receive data sets or access to datasets or visualization platforms.
