Title
Resolution authorizing and directing the City Controller to create a special trust fund, to be designated as the “Crossing Guards Special Events Trust Fund,” for the deposit of monies from crossing guards special events cost recovery, and authorizing the use of monies deposited therein by the Department of Public Safety to cover premium pay reimbursement for crossing guard personnel and administrative costs related to the aforementioned activities.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The City Controller is authorized and directed to create a special trust fund, to be designated as the “Crossing Guards Special Events Trust Fund” with JD Edwards job number 2100240840, into which any and all monies collected from crossing guards special events cost recovery shall be deposited. All reimbursements for Crossing Guards Special Event pay shall be deposited by the Department of Public Safety into said trust fund in a manner prescribed by the Director of Finance.
Section 2. Reimbursements to crossing guards for Special Events, including pay and related taxes paid by the employer, shall be paid directly from this trust fund.
Section 3. Expenses related to the administration of Crossing Guard Special Events programming may be paid directly from this trust fund or reimbursed to a different City funding source.
Section 4. The City Controller is hereby directed to make a one-time transfer of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) from the Bureau of Police premium pay account 11101.230000.51.51401.2020 to the trust fund, account 2100240840.43175.00.
