WHEREAS, Arlington Civic Council has been in existence to improve the lives of businesses, places of faith and all those who call Arlington home; and,
WHEREAS, Arlington Civic Council has been organizing events such as the Halloween Parade, the Trick or Treat in the Gym and Christmas Parties, and the Annual Spaghetti Dinner for over 20 years; and,
WHEREAS, The Annual Spaghetti Dinner is a yearly event to start off the new year with fellowship and comradery with neighbors in Arlington; and,
WHEREAS, Arlington Civic Council’s Spaghetti Dinner is only possible with the generous gifts of time, effort and money from the neighbors, of local business and members of the Arlington Civic Council; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does recognize, celebrate and thank Arlington Civic Council for all of their hard work and their efforts to improve all of South Pittsburgh ; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Monday, January 20th, 2020 to be “Arlington Civic Council Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
