Title

Resolution approving Execution of a Contract for Disposition between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, for the sale of Block 124-J, Lots 287, 290, 291, 293, and 295 (part) in the 12th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh - Council District No. 9 (Choice Neighborhoods Phase III - Larimer/East Liberty).

Body

Whereas, pursuant to Redevelopment Proposal for Redevelopment Area No. 63, approved November 1, 2004, and in the manner prescribed by the Urban Redevelopment Law, 35 P.S.§ 1701 et. seq., as amended, the Redevelopment Proposal for Redevelopment Area No. 63 in the 12^th Ward was approved; and

Whereas, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh has requested authorization to execute a Disposition Contract between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, for the sale of Block 124-J, Lots 287, 290, 291, 293, and 295 (part), in the 12^th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, for the sum of $1.00 plus costs; and

Whereas, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh believes that the proposed conveyance is in the best interest of the City of Pittsburgh and desires to give its approval in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Redevelopment Law.

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Council of The City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.  That execution of a Contract for Disposition between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, for the sale of Block 124-J, Lots 287, 290, 291, 293, and 295 (part) said properties being in the 12th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, be and the same is hereby approved,

Section 2.  That acceptance of the aforementioned Contract for Disposition by the City of Pittsburgh is hereby approved.
