Title

Resolution providing for the letting of contracts and for the use of existing contracts for the purchase of materials, supplies and equipment for City Departments, and the maintenance, repair, rental and/or leasing, rehabilitation, renovation, inspection or servicing of City buildings and facilities, and for any miscellaneous services in and for any City Departments, and providing for the payment of the costs thereof for the 2020 Fiscal Year. 

 

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follow:

 

Section 1.                     The Director of the Office of Management and Budget of the City of Pittsburgh be and is hereby authorized to advertise for proposals, award and enter into contracts or exercise against existing contracts for furnishing materials, general supplies and equipment whose estimated cost will be in excess of $103,000.00, and to purchase without advertisement, such materials, general supplies and equipment whose estimated cost will be less than $103,000.00, as required by various Departments of the City of Pittsburgh.  All contracts entered into pursuant hereto shall provide that the City of Pittsburgh shall have the right to terminate said contracts as of December 31, 2020, in the event funds are not appropriated for the continuation of said contracts in any succeeding calendar year, or upon consolidation of said contracts with an existing cooperative purchasing agreement, whichever occurs first.

 

Section 2.                     The Director of the Office of Management and Budget of the City of Pittsburgh is hereby authorized to invite proposals and to award a contract or contracts, for the maintenance, repair, rental and/or leasing, rehabilitation, renovation, inspection or servicing, including the furnishing of labor and materials necessary thereof, of personal property, and also for bonding, insurance, printing and any other related services, and for the maintenance and repair of buildings, structures or any other properties in the custody of the various Departments owned and controlled by the City of Pittsburgh, and for any miscellaneous services in and for any or all Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, whose estimated cost will be in excess of $103,000 and to purchase, without advertisement, such services as listed above whose estimated costs will be less than $103, 00 as required by various Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, all in accordance with the laws and ordinances governing the City.  The City of Pittsburgh shall have the right to terminate contracts as of December 31, 2020, in the event funds are not appropriated for the continuation of applicable contracts in any succeeding calendar year, or upon consolidation of said contracts with an existing cooperative purchasing agreement, whichever occurs first.

 

Section 3.  The costs thereof shall and are hereby made payable from funds appropriated.

Therefore, the Office of Management and Budget, the various Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, and the Mayor are herby authorized to issue, and the City Controller to countersign, warrants on said funds in payment thereof.
