Title: Resolution amending Resolution No. 384, effective June 14, 2019, "authorizing the Mayor, the Director of the Department of Public Works and/or the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, to apply for grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Developments Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program (GTRP) to provide funding for the planning of the renovation of the Pedestrian Tunnel located in Highland Park. In the event the grant is awarded, this resolution provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed ONE HUNDRED SIXTY FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TWENTY SIX DOLLARS AND TWENTY EIGHT CENTS ($164,326.28) for this stated purpose," by adding the JDE JOB NO. and the actual grant amount.

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

 

Section 1 of Resolution 384, effective June 14, 2019, which presently reads as follows “The Mayor, the Director of the Department of Public Works, and/or the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, are authorized to apply for grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program (GTRP) to provide funding for the planning of the renovation of the Pedestrian Tunnel located in Highland Park.  The total project cost is $164,326.28.  The grant proposal includes an ask of $139,674.35 with a local match of $24,651.93 to be funded from the 2020 City of Pittsburgh Capital Budget (JDE 4550000120, FUND 40020).  In the event the grant is awarded, this resolution provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed ONE HUNDRED SIXTY FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TWENTY SIX DOLLARS AND TWENY EIGHT CENTS ($164,326.28) for this stated purpose.”

 

is hereby amended to read as follows:

 

Section 1   The Mayor, the Director of the Department of Public Works, and/or the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, are authorized to accept grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program (GTRP) to provide funding for the planning of the renovation of the Pedestrian Tunnel located in Highland Park.  The grant has an awarded amount of SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($75,000.00), to be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund, JDE NO. 4029400294.45505.00, FUND 29040.

 

Section 2   The Mayor, the Director of the Department of Public Works, and/or the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, are  further authorized to enter into Agreements, or Contracts, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts, not to exceed the full project amount of NINETY NINE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY ONE DOLLARS AND NINETY THREE CENTS ($99,651.93), for the planning of the renovation of the Pedestrian Tunnel located in Highland Park under the terms of the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Department of Economic Development.  These charges are payable from the Grants Trust fund account 4029400294.50000.00, FUND 29040, up to SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($75,000.00) with a local match of $24,651.93, to be funded from the 2020 City of Pittsburgh Capital Budget (JDE 4550000120, FUND 40020).

 

Section 3   In all other respects, Resolution No. 384, effective June 14, 2019, as amended, remains unchanged and in full force and effect.
