Title

Resolution providing for the implementation of the Residential Parking Permit Program Area “MM” in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood (Council District #5) pursuant to Pittsburgh Code Chapter 549.

 

Body

WHEREAS, portions of the Squirrel Hill neighborhood (Council District #5) have petitioned the City in accordance with the established procedures and the Department of City Planning has undertaken a parking survey which determined that the proposed area is eligible for residential permit parking.

 

WHEREAS, on July 10, 2018 the City Planning Commission voted to positively recommend this resolution.

 

Be it resolved by the council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1. As provided by the Pittsburgh City Code, Chapter 549, entitled “Residential Parking Permit Program,” a parking management plan is adopted as follows:

 

For the Area that consists of: the 1600 block of Denniston Street, the west side of the 1700 block of Denniston Street, the north side of the 6400 block of Forbes Avenue, and the north side of the 6300 block of Aylesboro Street.

 

Motorized vehicle parking shall be restricted to a two (2) hour time limit between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m., Monday through Friday except where existing parking restrictions may exist and motor vehicles displaying a valid area “MM” residential permit or visitor’s pass; and that residential parking permits be sold only to those eligible under Chapter 549 of the City Code.
