Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby honor the late Bill Masucci; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, Saturday, September 14, 2019 to be "Bill Masucci Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Bill Masucci was a loving husband to Marlene and father to Brian (35) and Kellee (31) and cherished and enjoyed his three grandchildren Sage-Michael (9), Mia Bella (7) and Vincenzo (2); and,

 

WHEREAS, Bill attended South Hills High School and was a retired member of the Boilermakers Local 154; and

 

WHEREAS, he took great pride in the neighborhoods of  Mt Washington and Duquesne Heights where he lived and raised his family, and was often seen cleaning and maintaining Olympia Park; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Masucci loved the sport of Basketball and shared his passion with youth, spending countless hours coaching and mentoring them on the game and life issues; and,

 

WHEREAS, naming the Basketball Court at Olympia Park as the “Bill Masucci Basketball Court” is a small token of appreciation for the many years of service that Bill provided to his neighbors, the youth, his community and the City of Pittsburgh; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby honor the late Bill Masucci; and,
