WHEREAS, The Daniels family roots begin in Carnegie, Ga, and the Pittsburgh Daniels have been part of the Pittsburgh community for over 60 years; and,
WHEREAS, The Daniels Family have also been active members of the Nazarene Baptist Church for over 50 years; and,
WHEREAS, Patriarch the late Ernest Daniels Sr. was a faithful member of the Nazarene Baptist Church serving as a Trustee and his late wife Minnie Daniels also served at the church as a Deaconess; and,
WHEREAS, Daniels Family Reunion will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel and will have activities including a midnight boat ride and a trolley tour; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend the Daniels Family for their celebration of family and love; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Friday, July 19 through Sunday July 21, 2019, to be “Daniels Family Reunion Weekend” in the City of Pittsburgh.
