WHEREAS, Eric Kelly was born and raised in the Fairywood Neighborhood; and,

WHEREAS, Eric Kelly was a loving husband and father; and,

WHEREAS, Eric Kelly was a part of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police for 14 loyal years; and,

WHEREAS, Eric Kelly gave the ultimate sacrifice heroically serving the City of Pittsburgh; and,

WHEREAS, naming Fairywood Playground Eric “Guy” Kelly would be a small demonstration of appreciation for the sacrifice and service Eric gave to his Fairywood neighborhood, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and the entire City of Pittsburgh.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.                     The Mayor and Director of Public Works are hereby authorized and directed to name the Fairywood Playground at Fairywood Park, the Eric “Guy” Kelly Playground, Effective August 1^st  2019.
