Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to execute relevant agreements with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission in order to receive a grant award in the amount of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND ($100,000.00) DOLLARS for the purpose of replacing the stones around the pedestrian tunnel in Highland Park in the City of Pittsburgh.  The City of Pittsburgh will supply the required matching funds, which will be identified in the City’s 2021 Capital budget (JDE JOB NO. 4550000121, Fund 40021), and supplement the project in the amount of FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND ($420,000.00) DOLLARS for this stated purpose for a total project cost of FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND ($520,000.00) DOLLARS.  Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 4029400285.45505.00.

 

Section 2.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works, are further authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements, or the use of existing agreements, a contract or contract or the use of existing  contracts, not to exceed of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND ($100,000.00) DOLLARS for the purpose of replacing the stones around the pedestrian tunnel in Highland Park in the City of Pittsburgh, under the terms of the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. Costs are chargeable to and payable from the Grants Trust Fund account 4029400285.50000.00 in the amount not to exceed ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND ($100,000.00) DOLLARS.

 

The grant requires a match from the City of Pittsburgh, which will be identified in the City’s 2021 Capital Budget (JDE JOB NO. 4550000121, Fund 40021) in the amount of FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND ($420,000.00) DOLLARS for this stated purpose, for a total project cost of FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND ($520,000.00) DOLLARS.
