WHEREAS, on April 26, 2019 the South Hills High School Alumni Association will recognize and honor former student athletes, coaches, and administrators at the Third Annual All Sports Hall of Fame Dinner Induction Ceremony; and,
WHEREAS, the honorees have demonstrated and exemplified the true meaning of sportsmanship and character; and,
WHEREAS, the honorees have excelled in their respective sports during their scholastic and post scholastic careers; and,
WHEREAS, the honorees have achieved championship status, performing at the highest degree; and,
WHEREAS, in appreciation and thanks to these men and women for their dedication and contribution to South Hills High School and the Pittsburgh Public Schools; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Marcella Strutzel DeMarco Ph. D., George Cupples, Russell Knipp, Thomas Bigley, Pat Botula, George Bradford, John DeFazio, Don Elzer, Michael Johnson, Ronald Laneve, James Lowen, Bill Zentgraf, and Carl Wade for their induction into the South Hills High School All Sports Hall of Fame; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019, to be “South Hills High School All Sports Hall of Fame Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
