WHEREAS, the Honorable Ralph P. Watson stepped from public life to create Classic Events! Public Relations/Marketing recognizing the need to provide platforms for business development and belief that small business is the foundation of our local economy; and,
WHEREAS, coupled with hosting a trilogy of market specific events that forging relationships, empowering underserved segments, educating and informing our region of the goods and services offered through the execution of area entrepreneurs. These effective direct marketing networking platforms further create access and exposure for business owners that create wealth and enhance the socio-economic development of our region; and
WHEREAS, Expressions of Art and Culture are elements that remain a strong part of the Black Experience. It's in the fabric of every community, family reference and memory. On February 16, 2019 Classic Events! 8th Annual Black History Celebration "Heritage" Dinner at the Jeron X Grayson Center in the Historic Hill District. The theme of this Black History Celebration event gives Tribute to Art and Culture. It is with pride Classic Events! will bestow this prestigious recognition and award to a diverse group of multi-talented individuals who are industrious entrepreneurs with extraordinary gifts in areas of but not limited to Art, Culture, Community, Education and Faith that include: *Reverend Mary Beasley, *Dessie Bey, *Ernest Bey, *Gail Brown, *Kevin Brown, *DeWayne Chandler, *Jermaine D.
