WHEREAS, Jill Nolan Harris has worked in the District 2 office as our Constituent Liaison; and,
WHEREAS, because of her compassion for people, Jill has been exceptional with our constituents, never leaving any complaint unresolved and unparalleled when it came to organizing community events for the Mount Washington and Duquesne Heights neighborhoods; and,
WHEREAS, she has worked on their annual Community Picnic, Trunk or Treat, attended Neighbors of the Mount meetings and has worked hard to create a great rapport with local businesses; and,
WHEREAS, because of the relationships she has formed, she helped organize the West Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce; and,
WHEREAS, her volunteerism is unmatched being involved with Community Cleanups, the Lions Club, St. Mary of the Mount Church and the VFW 5111 with numerous events and projects, just to name a few; and,
WHEREAS, her father, WW II Vet Jim Nolan, taught Jill to love God, her family, her country and her community; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Jill Nolan Harris for her dedication to Mount Washington, Duquesne Heights and other District 2 neighborhoods where she has been a blessing to the City of Pittsburgh; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, Thursday, December 20, 2018 to be “Jill Nolan Harris Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
