Title

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Innovation & Performance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Contract or Contracts, Agreement or Agreements, with SmartWorks Partners, Inc., Cohen Law Group, and CTC Technology & Energy for the provision of professional services relating to telecommunications strategy development and negotiations of the City’s telecommunications agreements. The term of the agreement shall be for six (6) years.

 

Section 2. SmartWorks Partners, Inc., Cohen Law Group, and CTC Technology & Energy shall provide services relating to broadband planning, policy review, implementation, and ongoing program management. SmartWorks Partners, Inc., Cohen Law Group, and CTC Technology & Energy shall receive a contingency fee of 35% of all new revenue collected from mutually agreed upon City-owned telecommunications and smart city assets. Revenue, less this fee, shall be deposited into the appropriate Innovation and Performance 103000 revenue account, including but not limited to:

 

Cable Bureau Revenue: 11101.103000.43.43101

Leasing and management of City-Owned assets, MBRO revenue:11101.103000.43.43905

Telecommunications Licensing tax: 11101.103000.43.41658

Distributed Antennae Permit revenue: 11101.103000.43.43105

 

Section 3. Said Agreement(s) shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor.
