WHEREAS, from September 17 to September 20, the Downtown Community Development Corporation will be hosting the third annual Pittsburgh Fashion Week; and,
WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Fashion Week team consists of community volunteers, with the goal of uniting and promoting the emerging fashion industry while presenting a fresh perspective on the talent that exists within the City of Pittsburgh; and,
WHEREAS, as it gains momentum in its third year, Pittsburgh Fashion Week welcomes to its Board of Directors Executive Assistant Natalie Nguyen, Creative Director Elysia Newman, Producer Suzanne Mauro, Co-Producer Renee McCafferty, Director of Hair and Makeup Katherine DelGrande, Director of PR Reese Randall, and Director of Outreach Anastasiya Maksakova; and,
WHEREAS, currently the Pittsburgh Fashion Week team is preparing for the most collaborative year yet, on-barding community volunteers to active committees, adding a panel discussion to this year’s Fashion Week events, and making selections for this year’s runway to feature emerging designers;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare September 17-September 20, to be “Pittsburgh Fashion Week” in the City of Pittsburgh.
