Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to apply for grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Keystone Communities Program to provide funding for the rehabilitation of the Jefferson Recreation Center and surrounding park, located in the Central Northside Neighborhood. The total project cost is $1,000,000.00. The grant proposal includes an ask of $500,000.00 with a local match of $500,000.00 to be funded from the 2019 City of Pittsburgh Capital Budget.  In the event the grant is awarded, this resolution provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND ($500,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose.
