Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh to apply for grant funding from the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County (RAAC) to install a spray feature in the Nelson Mandela Peace Park located in the Garfield neighborhood.  In the event this grant is awarded, this resolution provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND ($100,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to apply for a grant with the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County, and in the event this grant is awarded, execute relevant agreements with the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County in order to receive a grant award of One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) to install a spray feature in the Nelson Mandela Peace Park located in the Garfield neighborhood.  Monies from said grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 4029400231.45527.00.

 

Section 2.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized to enter into an Agreement, or Contract, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts and not to exceed One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) dollars, in the event this grant is awarded. These funds will be used for the purposes of installing a spray feature in the Nelson Mandela Peace Park located in the Garfield Neighborhood under the terms of the agreement between the City and the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County chargeable to and payable from the Grants Trust Fund account 4029400231.50000.00.
