Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate Joseph Gramz, III for his outstanding achievement of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare November 1, 2017, to be "Joseph Gramz, III Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout Award is the highest rank in Scouting of which only 4 percent of youth earn and is based on performances in the areas of responsibility, leadership, service and outdoor skills; and,

 

WHEREAS, Joseph Edwards Gramz, III, son of Joseph Gramz, Jr and Stephanie Gramz-McCune, completed all requirements and earned the rank of Eagle Scout on November 1, 2017 and will be awarded at the Eagle Court of Honor Ceremony to be held on January 13, 2018; and,

 

WHEREAS, for his final project to obtain Eagle Scout, Joseph painted the edges of the City steps in Crafton with safety paint, helping to create a safer walkway for residents; and,

 

WHEREAS, Joseph belongs to Troop 147, the oldest troop in the Pittsburgh region celebrating 106 years, and is currently the Sr. Patrol Leader, formerly the Quartermaster; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate Joseph Gramz, III for his outstanding achievement of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
