Title

Resolution providing for the designation as Historic Structures under Title 11 of the Code of Ordinances that certain structures known as the Tufa Bridges, located in Schenley Park, in the Oakland Neighborhood, in the 14th Ward, City of Pittsburgh.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh has duly enacted Title 11of the Code of Ordinances, which protects and preserves Historic Structures, Districts, Sites, and Objects; and

 

WHEREAS, Matthew Falcone has nominated the Tufa Bridges in Schenley Park for designation as Historic Structures; and

 

WHEREAS, the Historic Review Commission has held a public hearing to gather testimony from the property owner and other interested parties concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and

 

WHEREAS, the Historic Review Commission has voted to recommend that City Council designate the Tufa Bridges in Schenley Park as Historic Structures; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has held a public hearing to gather testimony from the property owner and other interested parties concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has voted to recommend that City Council designate the Tufa Bridges in Schenley Park as Historic Structures; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh has held a public hearing to gather testimony from the public concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh finds that the aforementioned Tufa Bridges are Historic Structures that should be preserved;

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1.                     Pursuant to the provisions of Title 11 of the Code of Ordinances, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby designates as Historic Structures the Tufa Bridges in Schenley Park, in the Oakland Neighborhood, in the 14th Ward, City of Pittsburgh.
