Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Savoy Restaurant for recognizing women who have made an impact in society; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Thursday November 16, 2017, to be "Savoy Restaurant Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Savoy Restaurant is presenting their first annual "Women of Impact" awards on November 16, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM with Darieth Chisolm as their Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker; and,

WHEREAS, nine women will be honored who inspire others and exemplify the modern day Renaissance woman possessing personal integrity, a giving spirit, creative talents and gifts, outstanding leadership qualities, and poise; and,

WHEREAS, Savoy will honor Kimberly Barr, FedEx Director of Finance, Judge Kim Berkeley Clark, Marlisa Goldsmith, WPXI anchor/reporter, Darcel Madkins, President of African American Employee Business Resource Group at PNC, Marimba Milliones, President & CEO of Hill Community Development Corporation, Elisa Sanders, Co-Founder of Urban Lending Solutions, Marisa Bartley Wilson, Regional Executive Director at YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh, Janis Burley Wilson, CEO & President of August Wilson Center; and,

WHEREAS, finally, Savoy will recognize our own Kim Clark-Baskin, Deputy City Clerk. Kim is the mother of two children and has joint custody with her parents of her 6 niece and nephews. While a full time working mom to 8 children, she attended Carlow University as a full time student for 2 years, and in May 2015 gained her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a Minor in Psychology. In the spring of 2018, she will begin to pursue her Master's Degree in Public Administration. She recently started a group for young teenage women called "Gifted Footprints," helping youth to realize their hidden gifts and talents and endless possibilities. Kim was taught to keep God first and trust and believe that anything is possible. She is who she is because of God and her family. Kim is married to Rasheed, her best friend of 23 years; and,
