Resolution authorizing the School District of Pittsburgh to acquire all of the City's Right, Title and Interest, if any, in and to the Publicly-Owned Property in the 16th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh designated in the Deed Registry Office of Allegheny County as Block 32-F, Lot 52 for the purpose of reopening the Murray Elementary School located at 800 Rectenwald St.

Whereas, the School District of Pittsburgh desires to acquire all of the City's right, title and interest, if any, in and to publicly-owned property known as Block 32-F, Lot 52 in the 16th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, for the sum of $1.00 plus all necessary and incidental expenses in connection with such acquisition.

 

Whereas, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh desires to give approval to the acquisition by the School District of Pittsburgh for the purpose of reopening the Murray Elementary School located at 800 Rectenwald St.

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     That the School District of Pittsburgh is hereby authorized to acquire, for the sum of $1.00 plus all necessary and incidental expenses in connection with such acquisition, all of the City's right, title and interest, if any, in and to publicly-owned property known as Block 32-F, Lot 52 in the 16th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh.

 

Section 2.                     That the School District of Pittsburgh is authorized to incur said necessary and incidental expenses in connection with said acquisition.

 

Section 3.                     Conditions of sale include: keeping the playground open in the evening for public use, in the event of the sale of the property it will revert to ownership by the City of Pittsburgh.
