Resolution amending Resolution Enactment Number 42, effective February 11, 2016, previously amending Resolution Enactment Number 271, effective May 5, 2014, providing for an agreement or agreements for the Departments of Innovation & Performance and Public Safety to include upgrades to the City's existing public safety systems for a sum not to exceed One Hundred Forty-Three Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Two Dollars and Fifty Cents ($143,562.50) Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) and for the payment of the costs thereof; said amendment to extend the term from December 31, 2016 to September 30, 2017 and to allocate funds from a new JDE # to provide for the same.

WHEREAS, CITY and CONSULTANT entered into a Professional Services Agreement (hereinafter the “Agreement”) with Hitachi Data Systems Corp., which commenced January 1, 2015 for the performance of tasks relating to the City’s public security camera network, including but not limited to design, engineering, analytics, network video management software, surveillance and wireless infrastructure, and support services relating to the integration of additional digital video camera systems and other related hardware into the City’s existing public security safety camera system; and
WHEREAS, on December 31, 20165 the term ended for the above-referenced Amended Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties amended the Agreement to extend the term until December 31, 2016 and add $195,000 in compensation; and
WHEREAS, the additional $195,000 in compensation for 2016 services was ultimately funded by a warrant issued pursuant to Council Resolution No. 14 of 2017, effective January 23, 2017; and
WHEREAS, CITY remains in need of essential support and maintenance services for the continued operation of CITY’s public security camera network until a new Request for Proposal process can be completed; and
WHEREAS, CITY and CONSULTANT now wish to amend the Agreement to revise the term to extend until September 30, 2017 and allocate funds for the same;
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Chief & Directors of the Departments of Innovation & Performance and Public Safety on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to amend a Professional Services Agreement (hereinafter the “Agreement”) with Hitachi Data Systems Corp., which commenced January 1, 2015 for the performance of tasks relating to the City’s public security camera network, including but not limited to design, engineering, analytics, network video management software, surveillance and wireless infrastructure, and support services relating to the integration of additional digital video camera systems and other related hardware into the City’s existing public security safety camera system, hardware, software, training, professional services, and maintenance, with said amendment at a cost not to exceed One Hundred Forty-Three Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Two Dollars and Fifty Cents ($143,562.50) Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) chargeable to and payable from JDE Account # 11101.103000.53.53509.201611101.210000.53.53529.2017, Department of Innovation & PerformancePublic Safety; further said Agreement shall be amended to extend the term from December 31, 20165 to September 30, 2017 December 31, 2016.
Section 2. The Amended Professional Services Agreement(s) shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
