WHEREAS, the Northside Northshore Chamber of Commerce has spent the last hundred 120 years helping business and merchants on Pittsburgh’s North Side grow and thrive; and,
WHEREAS, the Northside Northshore Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to foster a climate that promotes, maintains, and enhances business activities on the North Side; and,
WHEREAS, through collaboration with other groups, the NS/NSCC provides useful information to companies looking to relocate, expand their current business, reach new customers, seek investment or secure funding through government programs; and,
WHEREAS, throughout the year the NS/NSCC provides dozens of opportunities for members to meet each other, showcase their individual businesses, and develop new leads. NS/NSCC brings together a wide variety of industries and non-profit organizations, to assist with: Business Referral Service, Social Media Presence, Marketing Opportunities, Listing in On-line Membership Directory, among others; and,
WHEREAS, the NS/NSCC invites any firm or individual that shares a business interest in the growth and future development of the business community on the North Side to become a member, and is proud to have over 160 members that share that interest; and,
WHEREAS, the Northside Northshore Chamber of Commerce is now celebrating its 120th year of service to the North Side; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares Wednesday, May 3, 2017 to be “Northside Northshore Chamber of Commerce Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
