• Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate Louis T. Grande on his 103rd Birthday; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, April 15, 2017 to be "Louis T. Grande Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Louis T. Grande was born on April 15, 1914 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is celebrating his 103^rd birthday; and,

WHEREAS, he is a lifelong resident of Oakland, (1938-2015), a member and usher at St. Hyacinth Parish (now St. Regis Parish), and, a dedicated member of Italian Sons & Daughters of America; and,

WHEREAS, Louis is the husband to the late Jesse Grande (deceased in 2002), the father of 3 sons; Louis, Samuel, and Thomas, and loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Grande’s hobbies include playing cards, watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and bowling; and,

WHEREAS, he was a barber in Squirrel Hill until his late 90’s; and,

WHEREAS, Louis states the secret to staying young is to “never stop moving;” and,
