Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh to apply for grant funding from the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County (RAAC) to support design and engineering costs related to the Smallman Street Public Space and Produce Terminal Projects.  In the event the grant is awarded, this resolution provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND ($250,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose.

 

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to apply for a grant with the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County, and in the event this grant is awarded, execute relevant agreements with the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County in order to receive a grant award of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand ($250,000.00) for the design and engineering costs related to the Smallman Street Public Space and Produce Terminal Projects in the City of Pittsburgh.  Monies from said grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 4029400141.45527.00.

 

Section 2.  The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized to enter into an Agreement, or Contract, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts and not to exceed Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand ($250,000.00) dollars, in the event this grant is awarded. These funds will be used for the purposes of supporting design and engineering costs for the Smallman Street and Produce Terminal projects under the terms of the agreement between the City and the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County chargeable to and payable from the Grants Trust Fund account 4029400141.50000.00.
