Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of Public Works or their designees are hereby authorized and directed to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the removal of metal trolley poles.  The RFP should address the possibility of offsetting the cost of removal with the value of the scrap metal from the poles.
