WHEREAS, the Highland Park Community Council (HPCC) is a nonprofit organization located in the Highland Park neighborhood and serves residents by providing services related to recreation, education, public safety, neighborhood planning, and business recruitment; and
WHEREAS, the HPCC has been functioning as an all-volunteer organization since 1945 and provides the neighborhood and the city of Pittsburgh with several noteworthy and remarkable events throughout the year while working to keep residents engaged and building a strong, safe, and cohesive neighborhood for all; and
WHEREAS, the HPCC desires to hold 50/50 raffles and other similar games during the Reservoir of Jazz concert series in Highland Park; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognize the Highland Park Community Council as a civic and/or service organization within the context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance act, as amended.
