Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Chief of Police to enter into a grant agreement with the Heinz Endowment and further authorizing expenditures by the Bureau of Police, for purchases authorized by the Grant Agreement and for the execution of agreement(s), or contract(s) for any equipment or services required in connection with the execution of said grant. Said agreement(s) or contract(s) shall not exceed Forty Three Thousand dollars and zero cents ($43,000.00).

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Chief of Police, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a grant agreement with the Heinz Endowment for the receipt of grant monies in the amount of forty three thousand dollars ($43,000.00). These funds shall be used to support the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police with training to create a noticeable cultural shift in the way the department collaborates with the community. Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into JDE Job Number 2329400188.48311.00.
Section 2. The Mayor and the Chief of Police, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby further authorized to enter into agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, and to make all required reports under the terms and conditions of this grant agreement with the Heinz Endowment outlined in Section 1 of this resolution. Said agreement and agreement(s), contract(s), expenditures, or reimbursement requests shall not exceed the total amount of forty three thousand dollars and zero cents ($43,000.00) chargeable to and payable from JDE Job Number 2329400188.50000.00.
Finally that any Ordinance or Resolution or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
