Total cost not to exceed $23,352.00

Whereas, the Corporation for National and Community Service (“CNCS”) is a federal agency that manages AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (“VISTA”), a national program that provides opportunities for young professionals to perform volunteer service to strengthen and supplement efforts to eliminate poverty and poverty-related human, social, and environmental problems; and
Whereas, the City wishes to engage eight AmeriCorps VISTA members to carry out projects that fit this purview; and
Whereas, the total cost share for the City to engage the services of eight AmeriCorps VISTA members for a one year term is Twenty-Three Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty-Two Dollars ($23,352.00);
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (“MOA”) with the Corporation for National and Community Service in order to continue the AmeriCorps VISTA program for the 2016-2017 term. The MOA may be filed electronically on the City’s behalf by the City’s Community Affairs Manager. The total reimbursement amount to CNCS from the City for the cost share for eight (8) AmeriCorps VISTA members shall not exceed Twenty-Three Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty-Two Dollars ($23,352.00), which shall be payable from the following account:

The MOA shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
