WHEREAS, the Alliance of Germanic Societies of Pittsburgh (hereafter referred to as the Alliance) is an unincorporated voluntary non-profit 501c (3) association; and,
WHEREAS, the Alliance maintains its principal place of business and conducts its principal activities in the City of Pittsburgh; and,
WHEREAS, the Alliance was formed to foster understanding and co-operation among the Germanic Societies of Pittsburgh; and,
WHEREAS, the Alliance desires from time to time to hold bingo games and 50/50 raffles as a social function and organizational fundraiser; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the Alliance of Germanic Societies of Pittsburgh as a civic and/or service organization within the context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended.
