Title

Ordinance amending the Pittsburgh City Code, Title Seven Business Licensing, Article I Administration, Chapter 701 General Provisions by clarifying the term of any license issued by the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections.

Body

The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.                     The Pittsburgh Code, Title Seven Business Licensing, Article I Administration, Chapter 701 General Provisions, is here by amended as follows:

§ 701.11 - TERM OF LICENSE.

The License Officer shall have the authority to establish the license year or term for any non-yearly licenses or permits issued under this Title. All yearly licenses or permits issued by the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections (PLI) shall expire 365 days after issuance. This section shall supersede all references to the expiration date and/or time of renewal for yearly PLI-issued licenses elsewhere in this Title. This section shall take effect upon enactment and shall not alter the term of existing licenses.
