Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Donation Agreement with Mark Cleland, a City resident, to accept a donation of $25,000 for repairs and improvements to Gladstone Field and further authorizing the Director of the Department of Public Works to enter into a Letter Agreement with Mark Cleland accepting the funds for this purpose.

WHEREAS, Mark Cleland has offered to donate $25,000 to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City’s Department of Public Works has conducted an in-house review and has recommended acceptance of this gift for the benefit of the public; and
WHEREAS, the City would now like to accept this gift and intends to use this gift as the donor wishes, for repairs and improvements to Gladstone Park, and
WHEREAS, the City now wishes to accept the donation and to enter into a Letter Agreement with Mark Cleland reflecting the donation and the intended use.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. On behalf of the City, the Mayor is authorized to accept the donation of $25,000 from Mark Cleland, in the form of a check made out to “Treasurer, City of Pittsburgh,” and to be deposited into capital account 4026734116.50000.00 Fund 40116, Sports Facilities Improvement.
Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works are hereby authorized to enter into a Letter Agreement with the Mark Cleland regarding the donation to be used for repairs and improvements to Gladstone Field. All Agreements will be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
