Resolution authorizing a Rooftop License Agreement or Agreements between the City of Pittsburgh and Plaza at Grandview Owner's Association at a cost not to exceed Eighty-Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($83,500.00).

WHEREAS, the Plaza at Grandview Owner's Association ("Owner") owns a condominium building located at 111 Grandview Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15211; and
WHEREAS, the City seeks to maintain previously installed cameras on rooftops within the City of Pittsburgh for the purpose of providing enhanced security to its citizens; and
WHEREAS, Owner and City previously agreed to allow the City to install, operate and/or maintain, at the City's sole cost and expense, video cameras and related equipment on the Owner's building rooftop at 111 Grandview Avenue for security and other public safety purposes, pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") dated June 23, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Owner and City desire to continue said arrangement for another five years by means of a formal License Agreement or Agreements whereby the City will pay the Owner monthly rent beginning in August 2015 in order to house City camera equipment and infrastructure upon the rooftop of 111 Grandview Avenue.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. On behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, the Mayor and the Chief and Director of the Department of Innovation & Performance are hereby authorized to enter into a Rooftop License Agreement or Agreements with the Plaza at Grandview Owner's Association for the continued installation, operation and/or maintenance of video cameras and related equipment on the building rooftop at 111 Grandview Avenue for security and other public safety purposes.
