WHEREAS, the mission of the Twilight Wish Foundation, founded in 2003 in Bucks County, PA, is to honor and enrich the lives of deserving seniors through wish granting celebrations that connect generations, making the world a nicer place to age, one wish at a time.; and,
WHEREAS, Twilight Wish honors and acknowledges seniors for all they have given to others by bringing comfort and joy into their lives though individual wish granting that could include simple needs, a life wish, living life to the fullest wishes and veterans’ wishers ; and,
WHEREAS, Faye Hanson, a resident of the Kane Glen Hazel, will be the next recipient of a Twilight Wish presentation. While a senior at Mt Union College in Alliance Ohio, Faye, who was studying pre-med at the time with aspirations to become a physician, was in a serious car accident which rendered her unable to complete her degree. It has always been a dream of hers to graduate college; and,
WHEREAS; on March 9, 2016, representatives of Mount Union College will present Faye with an honorary award from the College to make her long- time dream come true.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Faye Hanson for her tenacity and resolve in the face of adversity and congratulates Twilight Wish and Mount Union College for their thoughtfulness and generosity in granting such a special wish ; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Wednesday, March 9, 2016, to be “ FAYE HANSON DAY ” in the City of Pittsburgh.
