Title: Resolution authorizing the Mayor and/or the Director of the Department of Public Works, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh (CITY), to enter into a coop agreement with the Mount Washington Community Development Corporation (MWCDC) for the purpose of accessing grant funds that will be used for the construction the Shiloh Street Gateway Project and further providing for legitimate expenditures for payments and agreement or agreements, or contract or contracts for any services required in connection with the expenditure of said grant funds per the original intent of the grant award. Title

WHEREAS MWCDC desires to provide Plans, Specifications and Construction Package for the Shiloh Street Gateway Project and for the CITY to secure and provide construction services as needed as well as own and maintain the project upon completion;

WHEREAS URA has provided MWCDC a grant for $54,297.22 for the construction of the Shiloh Street Gateway Project;

WHEREAS City desires to provide additional funding of in amount not to exceed $45,000.00 of 2015 BOND Funds and is willing to secure and perform construction services, including as needed the advertisement, bid proposal, opening, and award, and also perform materials approvals, construction inspection, and construction invoice reviews and approvals for payment;

WHEREAS upon completion of the construction of the Shiloh Street Gateway Project and acceptance by the MWCDC and CITY, the CITY will maintenance and repair of the completed project.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor and/or the Director of the Department of Public Works, on behalf of the (CITY), are hereby authorized to enter into a letter of understanding with the (MWCDC) in a form approved by the City Solicitor, providing for payments to be made directly to contractor from MWCDC for invoice...
